Microsoft Flags Trojan Malware Targeting Crypto Wallets

Microsoft security researchers have identified a new malware threat, StilachiRAT, targeting popular crypto wallet extensions including MetaMask, Phantom, and Coinbase Wallets. The RAT was first discovered in November 2024 and can scan for cryptocurrency wallet extensions in the Google Chrome browser, extract and decrypt saved credentials, and continuously monitor clipboard content for sensitive information like cryptocurrency keys and passwords.
